The Membership Committee actively strives to improve membership and committee involvement of new and old members. The committee sends out welcome letters to all new members encouraging them to become active on the various committees that are available. In addition, at the Annual Meeting a “Welcome Reception” is held for all new members to meet the committee chairs and become involved on the various committees. Techniques for tracking membership through retention and recruitment are currently being developed using the WEF database. The committee arranges for the membership board and VWEA literature to be exhibited at all the conferences to include membership forms. Coordinates with other committees in an attempt to set goals and incentives to improve membership.
