The goals of the committee are to ensure that the Association has an active long-range and strategic plan and to measure progress toward meeting the goals of the Association's plan.

The committee consists of a chair and vice-chair appointed by the President and members recommended by the chair.  The Past President is an ad hoc member of this committee for continuity.

The VWEA Strategic Planning Committee presents the results from the Situation Analysis performed as part of the 2012 Strategic Planning process for VWEA. These results were shared with the VWEA Board on March 20, 2012 in Glen Allen, Richmond. This presentation lays out the current SWOT: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats for VWEA to consider aligning into the next Strategic Plan. It also provides a synopsis of the industry trends and best practices which will support VWEA in becoming an adaptive organization.  View the Situation Analysis Results .
