The Young Professionals Subcommittee works to encourage the active participation of the younger members of VWEA. This committee plans events that are open to everyone, but are designed to draw interest, encourage active participation in the Association, and add value to the younger members.  The Young Professionals Committee also works with the Membership Committee to help recruit younger members into VWEA by promoting the benefits of membership for the younger members of the Association.

The committee consists of a Chair, appointed by the President, and three (3) Vice Chairs - one for Northern Virginia, one for Central Virginia (Richmond area) and one for Eastern Virginia (Hampton Roads area).  Once established, the committee will look to expand to southwestern Virginia.
