You are invited to participate in the VWEA Sustainable Utilities
Committee's Webcast: Sustainability Update
A FREE Webcast from your VWEA Sustainable Utilities Committee to be
held Thursday, March 25, 2010, 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. (Eastern). The speakers will be Matthew Ries (Managing Director, Technical and Educational Services, Water Environment Federation) and J. Scott Weikert (Vice
President, CH2M HILL). Mr. Ries will focus on what sustainability means
to our business and what municipalities and organizations are doing to
become sustainable. Mr. Weikert will discuss concepts like energy
efficiency, biosolids options, LID options, LEED concepts and options
during construction. The Sustainability Update will give you examples
of how sustainable approaches may decrease life-cycle costs, lower your
carbon footprint and improve your relations with customers and the
public. We will also ask the Sustainability Update participants for
feed-back of what they do to become more sustainable.
This is
a great opportunity to learn more about sustainability in the water and
wastewater industry and share your own experiences. Don’t miss it!
