The Mid-Atlantic Biosolids Association (MABA)
will host a one day seminar and plant tour on
optimizing biogas production by adding additional substrates. The
seminar titled "CODIGESTION AT
WASTEWATER
TREATMENT PLANTS" will be held August 11th at the Hershey Lodge and
Convention Center in Hershey, PA. Organic substrates such as grease
trap waste, food scraps and other high
strength organic wastes represent a possible source of revenue and
increased
gas production for wastewater treatment plants. They may also present
operational problems as
well. At the seminar, learn about the latest developments in this
field and tour the Derry Township Municipal Authority
anaerobic digester and substrate receiving and processing facility.
